The title of the installation expresses a desire to find compromise between both the past and the present. An amalgamation of both Tagalog and french words, Wala na (no more) Tremblant pas (no trembling) references the absence of movement, mobility, seismic shifts felt throughout the body, that affect a great expanse. Is it a declaration, that there is no more trembling? Or a plea to stop the shaking? What is the trembling in reference of? Is it an experience or an end of a time?

Metro to the fires
It’s perpetual.
Arrive according to schedule.
It’s warm in the tunnels, the next guy shouts.
What to feel anyways.
I break in the mountains,
following streams rushing over smooth faces.
Taking lines of desire towards moving worlds
Plastic leaves and paper earth,
for collecting –
for assemblage –
for futures dreamed in dust.
Scorched ways ignite for world
making projects in my kitchen. Sound,
of hissing bread occupy quiet moments, but
carless streets are louder.
Yeast speak of yearning bodies
breathing. What smells?
And that backlit surface,
obscured by fruiting bodies
Says much about histories.
Red spices flavour moulding stories,
Digits stained from telling.
Yet no words,
Perhaps I know
touch is what I know.
But,
but I think what happened was that I miss dancing.
