AVALANCHE! Institute of Contemporary Art is proud to present Wet Country, an exhibition of new installation and sculptural works by Kuh Del Rosario (Vancouver), and Sarah Van Sloten (Calgary). You are invited to join us this Friday, March 1st at 8PM for the opening reception, and launch of a limited edition print designed in collaboration between the two artists. Admission is free and open to the public. Artists in attendance.

Kuh Del Rosario is a Vancouver based sculptor, originally from Calgary, AB. She graduated with a BFA in Painting at theAlberta College of Art and Design in 2003, and has since been working on a particular body of work that is concerned with the elements of the everyday. Del Rosario has exhibited in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and recently in New Mexico at The New Mexico State University.

Sarah Van Sloten was born in North York, ON. She is the oldest, and the oldest of the grandchildren on her Dad’s side too. Van Sloten’s work is mostly installation-based, but she is also devoted to her sketchbooks. She thoroughly enjoys word games, crosswords, and writing poetry. Van Sloten also goes by V.S., a distillation of her last name which saves time and is also easier to spell.
