March 9 – 15, 2012
Dynamo Gallery
142 West Hastings St.
Vancouver, BC
In Collaboration with Frances Adair McKenzie
For this exhibition, McKenzie and Del Rosario contemplate the process of artmaking through a performance based project. In their short film set in Dynamo, the viewer gets a voyeuristic look at fantasies and ideas revealed when making art. Specifically exploring Del Rosario’s art practice, Honey on my Laptop is dripping with materiality and tactile explorations..
During the opening reception, Frances and Kuh performed live, in which they incorporated the physicality and intuitive interaction in the film to infiltrate the viewer’s personal space, skewing the boundaries of the stage, blurring the line between the artists and the audience.
