Sagala Regalia is a procession of artifacts, constructed from reclaimed detritus and random objects salvaged from the former gallery space of TRUCK Contemporary Art in Calgary. Bound for the trash, Kuh Del Rosario has incorporated them into these new sculptural forms as the basis and inspiration for the work. Deconstructed and petrified under the glues and paint imposed on them, these discarded objects are used as relics that point to a specific time and place of the gallery’s extensive history.
